Young Carers Project - Our Story
Nicole's Story
A young carer is a a child/adult who looks after an ill friend or member of family and they help them with daily tasks for example washing up, doing the laundry or doing the cooking.
I've made great friends like Becki, leanne,joel and robyn! and its all thanks to young carers + my social worker, Mario. thanks M! And thanks to everyone who works in yc! oh and thanks mum and dad! oh and of course my dog Widget for being so understanding to me even though you cannot talk...! and thank you to my doctors who have helped me up when I've fallen down!!
Becki's Story
I have only started this project recentley, but I have had a tremendos amount of fun. The activites are great,the staff are lovley. I have made some wicked friends. Joel,Nicole,Ethan,Ethan, plus I have found an old friend Leann and its all thanks to Young Carers. If I'm honest Young Carers have changed my life, and it's a great experience. I have done a wide range of activites. Like art club, a music workshop, mountain biking, speedboating, and circus skills. But my favourite one of all RADIO CARDIFF! I was on Radio cardiff with Joel, Nicole and Ethan. They are friends for life and I never want to lose them. At Radio Cardiff they taught me Radio Skills and I love it. They recorded me singing and it ended up on You Tube! Also the bbc watched it!! :') Omg. Here is a picture of me Joel, Nicole and Ethan.
Joann's Story
This is when we went on a camping trip to down to earth and it was so fun and it was animals and it was pigs and ducks. The ducks went in to the girl's tipiy and it was so scary. The ducks laid eggs every day and the boys went to get the eggs and they were not scared, and the girl's tipiy was so next to the ducks. The ducks names are Becky and Robert and the girl is Becky and the boy is Robert. The pigs names are Jeremy and Honey.
All the activities were fun and it was exciting and it was so fun and the nutcracker was so fun and some times we stay out late. The art club was so messy and it was so fun.
Ethan's Story
My name is Ethan J. and i started Crossroads in February, I enjoy every second of it, I have made lots of friends and feel lucky to go out on great activities instead of looking after my mum. The staff at Crossroads are very kind and are there for you when you need them, I think my favourite outing at crossroads was camping in the gower it was 3 nights in teepees I really enjoyed the company of my friends and the activities were stunning, my favourite activity was the mud walk in a partly narrow stream the highlight of this event was one of my friend's sister falling out of a little beach boat, I did the camping with Jamie, Mason, David, Harry, Ethan w, James, Joann, Alicia and Laura.

My name is Ethan j. I enjoy Crossroads, I have been to Tredeger House, camping, the nutcracker, swimming, newsletter, art club and lots more. I have made lots of friends. I have had lots of experiences.
